The Texas Terror is a franchise primarily recognized by the Arena Football League. The team debuted in the AFL in 1996, but attendance numbers almost as terrible as the team's moniker forced the franchise to move a year later to a different part of the state in order to gain interest. In 1998 the team became the Houston Thunderbears, who would play until folding after the 2001 season, attendance rates never improving.
