When the Storm ceased operations after the 2017 season, he signed with the Baltimore Brigade as an immediate upgrade to their quarterback position. Hippeard joined the expansion Atlantic City Blackjacks in 2019. Hippeard's ability is notable in AFL history, leading the Storm and Brigade to ArenaBowl appearances in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
