The New York Dragons is a franchise primarily recognized by the Arena Football League. Their debut in the league started as the Iowa Barnstormers in 1995, until the franchise relocated to New York in 2001. From there, the team would play in the Eastern Division of the American Conference. After eight years in the league, the Dragons folded upon the announcement of the AFL ceasing operations for the 2009 season.
