The New England Sea Wolves is a franchise primarily recognized by the Arena Football League. The franchise debuted in the AFL as the New York CityHawks in 1997, before relocating after two losing seasons to form the New England Sea Wolves. Despite two relatively successful seasons, the Sea Wolves would relocate to Toronto, Ontario, the only franchise to be based outside the United States, to form the Toronto Phantoms, who would play two more seasons before folding for good.
