The Kansas City Command (formerly known as the Kansas City Brigade) is a franchise primarily recognized by the Arena Football League. It entered the league as an expansion team along with the Utah Blaze in 2006. Its inception was due in part with Hurricane Katrina affecting the operations of the New Orleans VooDoo, which led to the creation of the franchise and most of the VooDoo's players migrating into it for that season. While initially folding due to the AFL ceasing operations for the 2009 season, Kansas City returned in 2011 as the Command. The team would fold following the 2012 season.
