The Dallas Desperados is a franchise primarily recognized by the Arena Football League. The team was formed in 2002 by Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys. The team is among the most productive franchises in league history with only one losing season, though it often faltered in the postseason with an overall 2-5 record. When the AFL ceased operations in 2009, as did the Desperados, never to return despite the league's recommencing in 2010.
